Our very last BASStard of the Month for the 2010 season is a familiar face to us here at BASStard Fishing, our first forum member ever, Drunken BASStard. Drunken BASStard comes to us from Western Massachusetts and has been ripping lips throughout the New England area for the past several years. Pictured below is the Drunken BASStard with a 3 pound 12 ounce largemouth he landed a few months back while fishing standing timber with a 7/16 ounce Rapala Clackin' Rap in the "Moss Back Shiner" color variety. Congratulations for your second entry into the Hall Of Fame and stay tuned for the announcement of the 2010 BASStard of the Year next month!

October 2010

Leading the way for October is a familiar member of BASStardFishing.com. Introducing the 2-time BASStard of the Month, and 2009 BASStard of the Year: Derek J. of Central Massachusetts!

Derek hit a local river with a friend and got an early bite from a 4lb 1 oz Northern Pike on a lipless crank bait, followed by two beautiful largemouth bass on a rubber frog, tipping the scales at 4lb 1oz, and 4lb 2 oz, respectively. Congratulations Derek on a fantastic day of New England fishing, and maintaining your ranks in the BASStard Hall of Fame!

September 2010

September 2010's BASStard Of The Month award goes to our newest member of the BASStard Forum, "M.I. Fisher." Josh pulled in this 22" 4 pound largemouth after hooking a much smaller fish about 10 feet from shore, which this behemoth made into its lunch. Nice catch Josh, welcome to the Hall Of Fame, and we hope to be seeing you on the BASStard Forum!

August 2010

August 2010 brings us "Bassholio," from Eastern Massachusetts who pulled out this Lunker fishing Demond Pond last week. Bassholio was fishing the Reaction Innovations "Skinny Dipper" when he pulled out this 4.5 pound 21 inch long slab with a 13.75 inch girth. Congratulations Bassholio, next time we see you, the crew at BASStard Fishing will be happy to provide a firm handshake and a worm shot. Welcome to the Hall of Fame! July 2010

 July 2010 brings us our first repeat hall of famer in the history of BASStardFishing.com. "Kaptain Kidd," from Central Massachusetts pulled out this 20.75" 4.6 pound largemouth just 20 minutes into the First Annual Battle Of The BASStards on Lake Wampanoag. Kaptain won himself a Bass Pro Shops gift card for having the lunker of the tournament as well as lead his team ("Balls Deep") to a first place finish in the event.

June 2010

June 2010's BASStard Of The Month is Ben S. from Massachusetts with his 24 pound 34 inch carp landed on May 2nd. Nice catch Ben! and Welcome to the BASStard Of The Month Hall of fame.  

May 2010

May 2010's BASStard Of The Month comes to us from Shutesbury, Massachusetts. Sadi landed this 18 inch 2 pound 15 ounce largemouth bass in her second week bass fishing while fishing a Gary Yamamoto Dual Hula Tailed grub near some weed cover. Needless to say she is now a bassin' addict and an avid reader of the BASStard Review/ Forum. Congratulations Sadi, and welcome to the BASStard Of The Month Hall Of Fame!

April 2010

April 2010's BASStard Of The Month is Tim Yiu and his 50 inch 41 pound Striper he landed on the coast of Delaware. Tim landed this monster while jigging a bucktail with a 4 inch white worm trailer on some rocks no more than 20 feet from the shoreline last May. In the second image below you can see all of the official measurements of the fish. Nice catch Tim, and welcome to the BASStard Of The Month Hall of Fame!  

March 2010

March 2010's BASStard Of The Month title goes to Zhen of Western Massachusetts. Zhen pulled in this monster Steelhead on custom fly called "Crystal Meth" in a creek on the Pennsylvania side of Lake Eerie. We don't have any official measurements, however Zhen stands over 6 feet tall to give you a size comparison. Nice catch! and welcome to the BASStard Of The Month Hall Of Fame!

February 2010

February 2010 has brought New England painfully plunging temperatures which have condemned most BASStards to hanging up their gear for the season and waiting until spring. One of our most dedicated BASStard Forum members, "International" has soldiered on however. Outfitted with his new ice fishing gear International has braved the the elements and come out a winner. At the end of a largely unsuccessful day on on the ice, he decided to put down the jigging rod and just sit back and watch his tip ups. This seemed to have done the trick as the fishing gods smiled upon "International" and hooked him up with this beautiful 4.5 pound smallmouth bass. January 2010

Congratulations to our first BASStard Of The Month for 2010, Meghan from Western Massachusetts. Meghan recently took a fishing charter in the Bahamas in search of Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Grouper and landed herself a solid Barracuda (shown below). Meghan hooked this beauty trolling live bait from the 30 foot charter boat and was surprised that the Barracuda didn't have the fight that you would expect from such an intimidating fish. Great catch Meghan, and welcome to the Hall Of Fame! Congratulations and we at BASStard Fishing wish you and all BASStards alike a happy new year.
