Some of those issues are described in the .pdf for the event, found through the link in the beginning of the thread. The boats will be limited by the location of the event. If the water says no gas motors, then no gas motors. So, whatever the water permits.
As for the evening festivities, we were planning to call it an early afternoon for a few reasons. We wanted to allow for people to have the option to be home for dinner (not married but I know how wives can be) and also we figured people could bring some grills and cook some stuff up, have a few beverages, etc.
The boat traffic is a definite issue that has made me think that more "bassy" waters will be better for the event. If there's clear blue water, it'll bring out EVERYONE. But, if it's a swampy pond, only fishermen will be there, so it will at least limit the competition on the water.
Smaller water = less restrictions. Afterall, there's going to be a lot of Basstards there.
I'm going to look into each of those above suggestions.
- Twas on the Fifth day that the fish and fowl were created.
- On the Sixth day He made man in His image and let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the fowl of the air.
- On the Seventh day the Lord rested, and I picked up my rod and gun.
